the CFFS welcomes filmmaker Alice Diop
for a day-long colloquium entirely dedicated to her work

The CFFS, in partnership with Villa Albertine, the Department of Romance Studies, the Department of African and African American Studies, the Department of Art, Art History and Visual Studies, the Department of Gender, Sexuality and Feminist Studies, the Duke Africa Initiative, Duke Arts, Duke Cinematic Arts, the Program in Literature, the Black Archival Imagination Lab, and the John Hope Franklin Humanities Institute, welcomes Alice Diop.
The filmmaker will join us for The Cinema of Alice Diop: (Re)formulating the Real, the very first international and transatlantic colloquium entirely dedicated to her work.
The colloquium, which integrates the CFFS's Plural Feminisms from the Francophone World Series, will convene in the Pink Parlor, on East Campus.
This event is supported by the Schiff Humanities Fund.
