Learning From the Earth: A Garden Walk & Conversation on People and Plant Relationships in Catawba Nation

Garden Walk 5-5:45 p.m. (limited capacity; requires registration) Conversation 6-7 p.m. (registration optional) Learn from Aaron Baumgardner and Roo George-Warren, two Catawba Nation citizens deeply intertwined in community-based ecological work. They will share perspectives on seed keeping and seed sovereignty, agricultural history, food ways, land stewardship and multispecies cultural conservation work in a conversation moderated by Dr. Courtney Lewis. Register separately for a walk in the garden due to limited capacity, followed by a conversation with optional registration.
