NIGHT OF IDEAS 'The Shadows Are All Mine'

The Night of Ideas comes to Durham! The Center for French and Francophone Studies, the Franklin Humanities Institute and Villa Albertine gather to host their very first nocturnal marathon of arts and ideas, on Duke's centennial. The words of Julian F. Abele, West Campus' Black chief designer under segregation, shine a light on forgotten legacies that shaped our cities and communities. Join artists, scholars and members of the extended Durham community in addressing environmental, technological, and political challenges to social justice and exploring the limits of urbanity and urban metabolisms in a call to repopulate liminal spaces of thought! Co-sponsors : Center for French and Francophone Studies (CFFS) ; John Hope Franklin Humanities Institue (FHI) ; PCA-Stream ; PSL University ; Villa Albertine
