Psychoanalysis Now! Reading Group

The Psychoanalysis Now! Reading Group, sponsored by the FHI, is having its first meeting Thursday, September 14 at 5 pm in the Armstrong Graduate Suite (room 305). This is a reading group dedicated to (1) reading psychoanalytic theory as a critical apparatus through which to discuss the most pressing issues of the contemporary moment and (2) investigate how psychoanalytic theory is changed through its confrontations with and entanglements in "other" discourses of race, gender, biology, ecology, and beyond. There will be no readings to prepare for Thursday's meeting, as we are going to go over the scope and goals of the group and determine how we will proceed communally.
