Jennifer R. Zhou graduated from Duke in 2018 with a Visual & Media Studies B.A., a Computer Science minor, and a Documentary Studies certificate. She is interested in decolonization and its application in art-making and art history. Her film work is rooted in the use of personal histories, but draws upon fiction and the supernatural in order to bridge the unknowable in the lives of immigrants and their children.

Jennifer joined the FHI in October 2018 and provides support for the PhD Lab in Digital Knowledge and the From Slavery to Freedom Lab.
