Laurie Ball on a Career in Global Justice
Laurie Ball, a former Focus student at Duke and an anti-sex trafficking activist, came to speak to the BorderWork(s) Lab students about how to chart a career in global justice. She sat down for an interview about her chosen profession as a lawyer working to help foreigners brought here by sex trafficking to obtain legal status, retain their housing, and obtain the aid they need.
This event is part of a weekly series hosted by the BorderWork(s) Lab, in conjunction with the "Humanitarian Challenges: Borders, Environments, and Rights Focus" cluster. The series is also co-sponsored by the FHI and Duke Human Rights Center @ FHI.
